Audio-Visual Facilities:
Equipment for computerised Power Point presentations will be provided during the scientific sessions. Floppy disks and CD-Rom for Power Point presentations can be tested prior to presentation in the slide preview room.
Floppy disks or CD-Rom must be handed over to the Slide preview room technicians at least forty minutes before the beginning of the sessions and must be collected directly by the speakers at the end of the session.
It is essential for the smooth running of the sessions that all speakers hand in their Power Point presentation in due time.

European Accreditation:
European Accreditation with UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialists) has been
requested for this programme and 24 restricted Austrian CME points.

Certificate of Attendance:
A certificate of attendance will be provided on request at the registration desk on the last day of the Congress.

Posters:
Abstracts will be selected for poster display. An area will be prepared for poster exhibition.
Posters (cm 150 eight - cm 90 base) will be displayed in the congress area of the Hotel Hilton from Wednesday, November 29th to Friday, December 1st, 2006.
Special attention to posters will be given during lunchtime / coffee breaks. During that time, in fact posters should be attended by the authors for viewing and discussion.
Authors must be registered to the Congress.

 
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
   

Participants wishing to present a paper should submit an abstract that, if properly presented, will be selected for poster display. An area will be prepared for poster exhibition. Abstracts will not be accepted or printed unless registration documents and payment of fees in full have been received. All abstracts must be prepared in English. Incomplete submissions of abstracts will not be considered.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
 

Please read carefully

  • Abstracts should be submitted electronically no later than September 15th, 2006 in the following web site.
  • Abstracts can only be submitted on-line. Should you not have Internet access, please contact the Organizing Secretariat (+377 97 97 35 55).
  • Authors presenting abstracts must be registered participants.
  • Acknowledgement of receipt of the submission will be sent to the stated e-mail address under section “Personal details”.
  • Notification on acceptance of the abstracts will be e-mailed by September 30th, 2006.
  • The corresponding author will receive all correspondence concerning the abstract and is responsible for informing the other authors of the status of the abstract.
  • Abstracts must be written in English.
  • Conflict of Interest/Disclosure: Work submitted for presentation must include an
    acknowledgement of funding sources of commercial nature and/or consulting or holding of significant equity in a company that could be affected by the results of the study.
  • All studies must have been approved by institutional committees on ethics of experimental and human investigations.
  • The complete abstract must not exceed the box space (320 words).
  • Structured abstracts are mandatory.
    The abstracts should state clearly the Background/aims, Methods, Results and Conclusions.
  • It is the author's responsibility to submit a correct abstract; any errors in spelling, grammar, or scientific fact may be reproduced as typed by the author, if accepted.
    Changes to abstracts can only be accepted until the deadline using your Personal Page.

Instructions for preparing posters
1) The allocated poster boards space is cm 150 height and cm 90 base.

2) Poster material must be prepared in advance and should be large enough to be viewed at a distance of 2 m.

3) Drawing and charts should be clear and simple.

4) Authors are expected to be at their poster during the assigned sessions.
