AIRPORT AND TRANSPORT
How to get to Vienna.
• By Air:
Vienna International Airport is located 19 Km from the city centre and 25 km from the Hotel Hilton Vienna, Am Stadtpark. The hotel and congress venue is directly connected to the Vienna International Airport with the CAT (City Airport Train). The CAT stops next to the hotel.
Departures: every half hour - Price: 8 Euro single, 15 Euro return.

Airport Limousine Transfer Service (guaranteed rate 40 Euro): You could make your reservation at the Reception Desk in the Hotel Hilton Vienna, Am Stadtpark.
Taxi: Travelling time from the airport via the A4/A23/A22 motorway link to the Austria Centre Vienna is approximately 25 minutes.

• By Train/rail:
There are international services from most Central and Eastern European capitals.
Trains from Western part of Europe arrive at the Westbahnhof (West Station).
Trains from Southern and Eastern Europe generally arrive at the Südbahnhof (South Station).
Smaller train stations are Wien Nord and Franz-Josef Bahnhof.
• By Road:
Austria has an excellent network of roads, with Autobahnen (motorways indicated by an 'A') between major centres and connection to the 'E' trans-European routes. Bundesstrassen (national roads) have a 'B' prefix.
Traffic drives on the right. Speed limits are 130kph (81mph) on motorways, 100kph (62mph) on main roads and 50kph (31mph) in built-up areas. Tolls are payable on a number of mountain roads, tunnels, motorways and main roads.
Toll stickers (Autobahnvignette), which must be attached to the windscreen, are available for purchase from tobacconists, border-crossing points, filling stations near the border and from automobile clubs ARBÖ and ÖAMTC.
Please pay attention to the short-term parking zones in the inner districts of Vienna!

• Subway, tram, bus: For public transportation the best ticket to use is the Vienna Card.
Tickets are available from tobacconists, advance sale ticket offices of the Vienna Transport Authority and from the machines in the subway stations, in trams and buses.

Admission (Badges):
The participant's name badge will be provided at the registration desk. All participants are
requested to wear the badge throughout the Congress. Only badge holders will be admitted to
the appropriate sessions, exhibition and social events.
Bank and Exchange:
Banks are generally open from Monday to Friday, from 08.00 to 12.30 and from 13.30 to
15.00 (Thursday from 08.00 to 12.30 and from 13.30 to 17.00).
Most Austrian Banks have currency exchange facilities available during opening hours and
change Traveller's cheques. Please ask about charges before changing money, these may vary
considerably. Automated cash dispensers are located outside most banks, cash can be withdrawn
there 24 hours a day.
Business hours and shopping:
Shopping hours are Monday to Friday 09.00-18.00 and Saturday 09.00-17.00.
Shops are closed on Sundays. Luxury shops and cafés for an elegant clientele can be found in the
pedestrian zone of Vienna’s 1st district. Another well known shopping area is Mariahilferstrasse.
Visitors from non-EU countries should ask for VAT refunds when purchasing goods.
Climate:
Winter temperatures: 5,1° C and 63 sunshine hours.
Coffee breaks and Lunches:
During the Congress session breaks, coffee breaks and lunches are served free of charge to all registered participants, wearing Congress badges.
Commercial exhibition:
The Congress secretariat invites commercial organisations to take part in an exciting, highly
informative and cutting edge exhibit. The exhibition will offer to delegates opportunities to learn,
discuss and evaluate new and existing resources.
Exhibitors will be assured of a high visibility and the opportunity for direct access to clinicians
and scientists who actively work in the psychiatric fields.
Credit Cards:
National and foreign Maestro cards as well as Mastercard, American Express, Visa and Diners are accepted. Credit cards are also accepted by numerous hotels, restaurants, shops and gas stations.
Currency:
The official currency in Austria is Euro.
Electricity:
The standard voltage in Austria is 220 V. The Austrian network supply a frequency of 50Hz. Plugs are continental-style two-pins.
Insurance:
The Congress organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage to property belonging to Congress participants and accompanying persons, either during or as a result of the Congress. Registration does not include insurance. It is strongly recommended that you take an insurance policy of your choice as you register for the Congress and book your travel.
The insurance should be purchased in your country of origin.
Language:
The official language of the Congress is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.
Letter of Invitation:
The Congress Secretariat will be pleased to send letters of invitation to any individual making
such a request. A letter of invitation often facilitates the procedure of obtaining a Visa. Please
note that the letter is not a commitment on the part of the congress to provide any financial
support.
Mobile phones:
Delegates are kindly requested to keep their mobile phones in off position in the Room where the scientific sessions will be held.

The 6th International Forum on Mood and Anxiety Disorders wishes to be a non-smoking congress.
Tips:
Service is usually included in the prices in bars and restaurants, but tips are welcome.
Visa:
Passport-holders from countries in Western Europe as well as from North America and Australia will not need a visa to enter Austria. For some nationalities, visas can be issued at the airport in Vienna upon arrival. Others may have to apply before.
