Abstract Submission - Instructions
Abstracts should be submitted electronically no later than May 15, 2008, click here to open it.
Abstracts received by fax will not be considered: should you have any problems with the online submission, please, contact the Organizing Secretariat:
AIM Group – AIM Congress (esnr2008@aimgroup.it)

  • The presenting author of an accepted abstract must register and attend the congress
  • Acknowledgement of receipt of the submission will be sent to the e-mail address stated under section "Personal details"
  • Notification on acceptance of the abstracts will be e-mailed by May 31, 2008
  • The corresponding author will receive all correspondence concerning the abstract and is responsible for informing the other authors of the status of the abstract
  • Upon submission, indicate your preferred presentation form (oral or poster) and one of the following category that best describes the abstract:

- cerebrovascular disease
- intracranial tumours
- spine and spinal cord
- pediatric neuroradiology
- interventional neuroradiology: brain
- interventional neuroradiology: spine
- functional imaging of the CUN
- degenerative diseases of the brain
- molecular neuroimaging
- craniocerebral trauma
- infectious disorders of CUN
- inflammatory and demyelinating diseases
- head and neck
- teleradiology in neuroradiology

  • Abstracts must be written in English
  • Abstracts should contain only original material not published elsewhere prior to September 18, 2008
  • The complete abstract must not exceed 2.500 characters including spaces (approx. 250 words)
  • All abbreviations must be defined the first time they appear in the text, before being used as an abbreviation only
  • Structured abstracts are mandatory. The abstracts should state clearly the Purpose, Methods, Results and Conclusions. Abstracts should be informative and not just promise further investigation
  • Tables, charts or other graphics should not be included and may be deleted by the editors
  • It is the author's responsibility to submit a correct abstract; any errors in spelling, grammar, or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author, if accepted. Please follow carefully the instruction reported in the online pages and fill in all the requested fields, in order to guarantee a correct and complete publication of the text. Changes to abstracts can only be accepted until the deadline and can be added in the text using the User ID and Password received upon submission
  • Should the author wish to withdraw the abstract after the deadline, he will have to inform the Organizing Secretariat by email or fax

Oral Communications and Posters
Oral Communications and Posters will be chosen among the abstracts sent by participants.
All the selected papers will be published on a dedicated issue of Neuroradiology, the official Journal of the European Society of Neuroradiology, which will be distributed to all participants together with the Congress Kit.
The selected abstracts will be considered for the ESNR 2008 Award: further information will be available on the congress website.

Technical Equipments for Speakers and Authors of Oral Communications
Only PC data projection will be available at the congress.
Each Lecture Room will be provided with a laptop. Use of one’s personal laptop will thus not be allowed. Speakers intending to use their personal laptop are kindly requested to go to the Slide Center much in advance in order to have their presentation copied.

UEMS – European Union of Medical Specialists
UEMS credits will be asked to the Union of European Medical Specialists. They are valid all over Europe, the United States and Canada (reciprocity agreement with the American Medical Association).

Official Language
English is the official language of the Congress. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.

Certificate of Attendance
Certificates will be given at the end of the event to those congress delegates who request it.

Exhibiting and Sponsoring
An exhibition of pharmaceuticals, research and technical products will take place throughout the Congress.
